General Help http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Contents

How to add a game Search for the keyword. If you do not see any results, search for the exact name as you want it to appear in the listings. You will then see on the search results page an option to add the entry. First, go to an existing page and click the Edit tab at the top, then copy all of the contents. Paste that into the new page and edit it by changing the information and the file names. You will need to upload any files and put their filenames in the thumbnail boxes so they appear as thumbnails.

How to add an image You can upload image files to the wiki. This is particularly useful for uploading images, which you want to place one in an article. Do not link to your remotely hosted image. Upload it instead.

NOTE: When you upload an image, the thumbnail is automatically available. Please use the thumbnail image such as |thumb| in the image tag to show only the thumbnail on the page. Users can click to see the full size image without cluttering up the page or waiting for large images to download. Click the Edit Tab at teh top of any listing with an image to see what the image tag looks like. You can use the same tag after you upload your image. See the image tag example below.

How To Upload a File(image)

Prepare the file for upload. Make sure the file is exactly as you want it to appear. We prefer 6 inch wide and 72dpi images unless you really really need something larger.

In the sidebar to your left, under toolbox, click "Upload file"

Next to the Source filename, click Browse to locate the file on your computer.

Change the Destination filename to something descriptive, if necessary, don't use names like DCHP0013.JPG or image1.jpg use descriptive names.

Fill in the Summary. This is important. A picture is not worth anything if no one knows what it is or where it came from. Please describe your image, what it is a picture of, why it is posted, who posted it and where it came from and what it is supposed to show.

Click the Upload file button.

If it is a large file, you may need to wait several seconds for the upload to complete. After you've uploaded a file, you can use it in an article, with some special wiki syntax to create the link.

Include a link of this format with your listing to show the image: [[Image:Ace_Machine_Gun_by_Chicago_Coin.jpg|thumb|200px|Flyer Front]]

This link includes the file name(shown on the page where you uploaded the file), thumb to indicate a thumbnail, the size of the thumbnail, and a name shown below the thumbnail.

Link Rules

Commercial advertisements are prohibited. You may link to a commercial site if you have a reason to do so that is within the context of the page. For example, if you explain how to fix a game and link to a supplier of a spring that can be used, that is acceptable.

Posting a link to a site that is a blatant advertisement is not acceptable. Dealers posting such links will find their company link moved here and ridiculed.

For sale links are absolutely prohibited and may also be ridiculed or removed(unless they are in the appropriate area)

Links to personal 'how-to' pages are acceptable but we prefer you list important information on this site(like step by step on fixing something or sources for parts) and refer to your site as the source. This way, when your site disappears(as often happens with personal sites) the important information will remain available to others here.

Spam links(such as casino ads, pharmacy ads etc) will result in the site being submitted to the My Little Mole Blacklist and your site will be blacklisted.

The creation of pages about a company is acceptable as long as it is an INFORMATION page and not a sales page. Pages that contain "we have great deals" will be changed(and not favorably). If you have an established arcade business, you can post a page about your business, location, start date, history, founders etc.

Safety

You may find links offering games for sale. Be careful who you deal with online. Only pay using a means that has buyer protection(credit card or paypal) or pay in cash if you can pick up and inspect before paying. Never pay for anything using Western Union or bank transfer or check or money order, those are commonly linked to scams. Visit [Auction-Safety.org] for more information on how to protect yourself from online scams.
